Vocational school teachers are an important part of teachers in our country. The group of Vocational school teachers has distinct characteristics because of the object and content of their work. Therefore, they have different career pressure from general education teachers. Appropriate career pressure is beneficial to the growth of teachers, but high career pressure is harmful not only to the physical and mental health of teachers, but also to the quality of education and the students’ physical and mental growth.Based on the results of domestic and foreign research on teacher career pressure, this paper make a survey on the career pressure of vocational school teachers in Beichen District of Tianjin, using the method of questionnaire survey, supplemented by interviews. The results show, in Beichen district, the sense of vocational teachers’ career pressure is larger. The top three pressure sources are:Poor quality of students; school enrollment is not stable; benefits are not high and low quality of life. And all the objects who are questioned feel the great career pressure. Different teachers, with different gender, Seniority, education, age, job title, and position, are different in some dimensions.Based on the survey results, the author puts forward coping strategies from three aspects of individual, school, society. For the Vocational school teachers, they should set reasonable expectations, gradually adapt to the characteristics of vocational school students, do a good job in the school enrollment, set up a solid support system, and learn self-regulation strategies; For the schools, they should keep the employment-oriented Philosophy, establish and perfect the management system,continue to improve the style of leadership, strengthen the professional teachers’ Pre-service Training and post training, and enhance the ability of resilience; For society, we should improve the teachers’ social status, improve the teachers’ salaries, and create a harmonious and healthy social atmosphere.
