At the era of knowledge-based economy, the innovation of knowledge and theapplication of it have become the basic competiveness of nationality and the driving force ofhuman kind. The knowledge&technological innovative ability of a country’s talented personhas directly related to the economy development of the country. A country’s development isbased on innovative talented. As one of the most important industries in tertiary industry, thedevelopment of tourism has a direct impact on a nation’s industrial structure and economydevelopment. With tourism becoming more and more mature, travel agencies and hotels needto offer special services, so the tourism personnel also need to be more innovative.This article is based on the students of tourism, using the qualitative and quantitativemethods. First, it analysis the purpose and value of this research. Second, using thecharacteristics of tourism education and tourism industry to card the innovative ability. Third,analyze the influencing factors of innovative ability, then extract tourism majors innovationcapacity factor scale. Fourth, using structural equation to analyze the influencing factorsinfluence tourism majors’ innovation capability. Fifth, analyzing the result and summary theresearch deficit. Specific research contents are as follows:Chapter1, Introduction. Introduces the research background, research objectives, andthe content of research. Then summary the relevant document to this research. And theresearch methodology and technology roadmap.Chapter2, Theoretical basis. Introduces innovation, innovation ability, tourismeducation theory. Here in after theoretical guidance.Chapter3, Analysis to the mechanism affect to tourism majors’ innovative ability.Classify tourism students with influencing factors, confirm the influencing factors, draw therelationship scale.Chapter4, Research on influential factors on tourism majors’ innovative ability.According to the relationship scale from Chapter3, design interviews and questionnaires,collect the data, carry out a preliminary examination of the data, propose impact mechanism hypothetical model, use structural equation to verify the hypothesis model.Chapter5, Conclusion and insufficient of the research. According to the research result,make the research conclusion, find the insufficient of the research.This article takes a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods.Explore the influence mechanism to tourism management students’ innovative ability, analysisthe influencing factors and the factors affecting the mechanism, identify the positive factors toimprove tourism management students’ innovative ability factors, provide scientific directionto develop students’ ability to innovate for tourism colleges, promote colleges to revolutionteaching strategy to improve the quality of college students. Promote the constantdevelopment of the tourism industry. Bring inspiration and reference to innovation abilitycultivation of tourism management students and teach the students how to develop their owninnovation ability.
