Traditional teaching methods have great influence on vocational language teaching.Teachers put too much emphasis on the dominance of the teaching process, paying more attention to knowledge of language itself, which tend to ignore the students’ comprehensive ability, thus students can only get passive obedience of teachers’managemen in the learning process,they have to do as what the teachers design and arrange them to do to complete the learning activities.It’s had for the sudents to improve their personalities, the abilities of innovations, teamwork, moral qualities even practical abilities,which keeps the main role of the students from coming out. Therefore the students lost interests in learning, and even hate it because of this joyless atmosphere. China has set off the boom of teaching reform of vocational education, since the beginning of the21st century. Advanced vocational education teaching theory, action-oriented pedagogy has become the focus of attention in the domestic vocational education sector.This paper explains the connotation, characteristics and the theoretical basis of the action-oriented teaching methods respectively, as well as action-oriented teaching methods and implementation process to interpret advanced vocational teaching theory on the basis of domestic and international action-oriented pedagogy research, Then it also present two advantages from the Chinese vocational language teaching situation and action-oriented teaching methods in language teaching in vocational fronts. This paper elaborated that students play the main role in action-oriented teaching methods to stimulate students’ interest in language learning and participation in the action-oriented teaching methods to improve the efficiency of vocational language teaching, introduction of vocational language teaching is completely necessary. To improve students’ language proficiency as an entry point, combined with the author’s teaching practice, th paper tells about action-oriented teaching methods in language teaching in vocational applications strategy. I think effective implementation of the action-oriented teaching methods in vocational language teaching can start from the following four aspects:clear guiding ideology, establishing the mechanism of action-oriented teaching language teaching; reforming teaching model can make the students in the classroom enhance language proficiency; stimulate students’ interests, strengthen guidance on student learning method; using abilities to enhance goals, reforming language appraisal method. In order to make sure the implementation of the action-oriented teaching in vocational language teaching, I believe that all levels of educational departments and schools also need supporting policies and measures:reform the curriculum management, establish a reasonable real integration of language teaching and learning environment; strengthen teacher training, improve the overall quality of teachers; follow the students’ cognitive rules, strengthen vocational language teaching materials development; Increase attention to the management, the development of appropriate incentives. The introduction of these supporting measures will be able to effectively promote the action-oriented teaching methods in the smooth development of the vocational language teaching.
