Study On The Vocational Education Development Of Anqing In The New Situation

Competition in the twenty-first century is the competition of talents. The high-quality human resources are the key factors to realize the target of China’s economic and social development. Currently and even in the near future, it is high time that Anqing constructed a well-off society and sped up the economic and social development. Anqing has been attaching great importance to education, which has a long tradition. Compulsory education is in a strong position while the vocational education is weak, which leads to a dilemma in the development of education. There are many reasons for this. It is important to accelerate the development of vocational education in the new situation and realize the overall economic transformation of Anqing city.This paper mainly adopts the documentation method to sort out the studies concerning the development of vocational education home and abroad, especially the study on government’s role in the development The paper focuses on the vocational education theories and research status of management system, public policies, the investment and construction of teachers, local or regional vocational education development in order to seek theoretical support. Adopting such methods as investigation, Delphi technique, statistics analysis, the paper studies the vocational education development of Anqing, which covers the higher vocational education and secondary vocational education, including development periods, achievements, as well as its contribution to the regional social and economic development. Combined with the policies of our country and the reality of Anqing city, the paper mainly analyzes the new situation of vocational education development in Anqing, including the comprehensive construction of well-off society, the implementation of new industrialization, new urbanization and "beautiful country" construction, undertaking the industry transfer, the government’s great attention and concern, and so on. On the basis of the analysis, the shortcomings and problems of vocational education development of Anqing are discussed and several reasons are given as well. By means of comparative analysis method and documentation method, this paper focuses on the government’s role and its policies and measures from the perspective of public management. Advices and countermeasures on how to promote the vocational education development of Anqing are proposed, which includes deepening the system reform to improve the vocational education development, deepening educational reform to improve the overall vocational education quality, innovating investment and financing modes, perfecting social environment, etc.
