Problems And Solutions Of Legal Education Of College Students

From the clearly proposition of "sound social democracy and strengthen the socialist legal system" in the third plenary session of the eleventh congress in1978, college students’ education of legal system has passed more than thirty years. In the report of Eighteenth National Congress of the Party, it also mentions the legal system propaganda education. All of these are enough to prove that the party and the state attach great importance to the legal system education for college students. Process of legal system education for so many years has accumulated plenty of experience and has made great achievements, but on the whole, among the college students of legal education, there still exists certain problems and the effect of the education of legal system is not very ideal. In view of this, college students’ legal education still needs to do deeper research.The first part of the thesis elaborates the research background, purpose, significance and research status of the university student law education at home and abroad, which not only plays a guiding role in the research behind but also has laid a solid foundation.The second part makes an analysis from the concept of rule of law, legal education and legal system education of university students and other related contents; let the readers have a more clear understanding of legal system education for college students. On this basis, the thesis elaborated the importance of the legal system education of college student from four aspects, which is, meeting the needs of the socialist country under the rule of law, the needs of institutions of higher learning cultivate inter-disciplinary talent, the needs of the development of socialist market economy and the needs of socialist spiritual civilization.The third part, first of all, reviews the legal education of college students for more than30years development history. From the development course and current situation of legal system education of university students at present, this part analyses the problems existing in college students of legal education from five aspects:the legal system education of the status, content arrangement, education method, faculty and the legal consciousness of college students themselves. At the end of this part, it makes a thorough analysis of the impact factors of these problems.Based on the former three parts and after reading a large amount of data, the fourth part sums up the four principles followed to strengthen of college students’ legal education, namely, principle of the consistence between the aim and the content, the principle of combining education and ego education, the principle of combining theory with practice, the principle of combination of family, school, society. on the basis of follow these principles, combined with the third part is the analysis of the affecting factors, aiming at the existing problem of the third part, puts forward some countermeasures to strengthen the legal system education of college students for six points.The above four parts form the study of legal system education problems and countermeasures of contemporary university students. The author really hopes that this thesis could play a certain reference and help to the workers of the legal system education for college students.
