It is the essence of Sociology of Education that it focuses on the study of communication and interaction mechanisms between the social and educational. From a perspective of sociological on education, we believe that any kind of teaching activity can be converted into an analysision of social activity, in this sense, the teaching process is a typically social process. Classroom is a social intermediary field which cultivates more high-quality talent learners and modern society’s talent. In the field region of the classroom, teachers and students as an important social actors, as well as the directly reflects from classroom activities, who have different social status and performance of different social roles.In the traditional mode of Chinese education, teachers are usually in a dominant position, manifested as authoritative role; while students in a passive position, the performance of the educated role (or even the discipline one). There are lack of effective interactions between teachers and students as well as between students and students. Because of lack of challenging, teachers did not want to make well preparation for the coming classes initiatively and proactively, meanwhile because of few opportunities for showing their talent; students are lack of creative thinking. These one-way Dominance teaching activities has a serious impact on the quality of students’culture, but also greatly affect the quality of education in China. In this paper, the study of small group interactive teaching model is to seek for the answer of this reality question.The object of this paper is the students and teachers in classroom of the university in China and their educational process. It is a combination of theoretical and empirical study and it mainly through small groups of the interactive teaching mode of the foreign country and combined with the small group status and characteristics of classroom interaction to explicate the study of Chinese college classroom interactive teaching system specification and its social operating mechanism. Therefore, the achievement obtained from the research process not only can provide theoretical guidance of teaching, but also can provide actionable measures for teaching practice of the classroom. This paper point out that the small group interaction model should be the dominant mode of teaching way of college classroom. To some extent teaching is not only an educational process, but also a social process. Students as a socialization people who not only have good knowledge of society through education, but also acquire knowledge from community. It is a process of the cultivation of the role in the formation and role of cognitive. Small group interactive teaching model emphasizes that, it not only can inspirit the movement of studying and enhance the ability of learn by themselves but also can cultivate the consciousness of abide by the rule and undertake the responsibility of our society through small groups within the classroom between teachers and students, as well as between individual student interaction And that can laid the foundation of personality system of the harmonious society.This dissertation consists of six parts and details are as follows:Chapter one is the introduction of this paper which involves the background and the significance and the object of the study and there descriptions, and the logical framework of the study and the innovation and inadequate there may be in this paper.Chapter two are mainly give an outline of the small group interactive teaching model and also an introduction of the sociology of education theories which applied in this teaching model. After the outline of the process and the status of foreign country’s research and the process and the tradition of our country’s research, we make a conclusion in the end on the basis of the cooperation research of the small group interactive teaching model both foreign country and our country. In the second part of this chapter, the study is going under the guiding principle of the macro, meson and micro theoretical vision which embodied in the small group interactive teaching model and the specific clues, such as functionalist theory, conflict theory and educational interactive educational theory, which exist in the sociology of education theories.The study of small group interaction teaching model is about more than two hundred years old, there are more obvious advantages exist in their study, such as, the study team the achievement of the study, the angel of the study and the analysis way of the study and so on. These obvious advantages possesses theoretical research and applied research systematically and practicality and comprehensiveness characteristics. This paper bases on the teaching experience of the foreign county and the condition of our country, trying to build an operating mechanism through the angel of sociology of education theory.Chapter three is very important part of this paper which building a social system of small group interactive teaching model in the theoretical perspective of sociology of education, which on the basis of advanced educational experience and China’s national conditions. Firstly, there are two parts which is divided into internal system and external system. Including the Interpersonal interaction behavior which as the core of the internal which have some influence on the effective of learning affect learning (internal system) and the external behavior which act as the guide and evaluate the of teachers which have some influence on the norms and supervision of the structure of the group(external system). And based on the two system, we can analysis and explain the promotion of many aspects of the effect which students received from the classroom. Secondly, this paper make all aspects of the analysision of the main social factors, such as social roles, interpersonal networks and activities rules, which existed in build of teaching classroom, and provided theoretical ideas for grasping the specific problem accurately and proposing an specific programs of this problems. The last but not the least, we take the University of D as an example, and focus on the study of the class who take an application of the small group interactive teaching model in order to seek for the first hand documents which is the basis of the study of theoretical.The fourth chapter analyzes the social function of teaching, combined with research, analysis of small group interaction in the classroom teaching students and modernized with regard to the role and effects, Chapter four is mainly analysis the social function of teaching and make a further interpretation between the classroom and social. This analysision is based on the survey and research, and the roles and effects which existed in the small group interactive teaching model, such as the cultivation of student’s personalization and the promotion of peer support and personnel training.In chapter five, we proposal a great deal of measures about the small group interactive teaching model which focus on the issues of teaching practical such as the limitation of the traditional way of teaching and the lack of taking part in the class of the students. From the theoretical perspective of sociology of education, we believe that the micro way of education, such as sizing the group reasonably, designing the course scientifically and generating the selection small groups scientifically paying attention to the interactive process of monitoring and intervention and evaluating the effective of the interaction of the small group in public justly and so on, not only have effect on enhancing the quality of teaching but also have a huge role in promoting the macro environment of education.In the last chapter, based on the study and for the view of extension, the author try her best to extent the application of small group interaction teaching model to other filed such as teachers and schools and even communities, and build a interactive learner’s community.
