As one of the four systems in Chinese textbooks, exercise system is getting more and moreattention. In recent years, the research results of exercise system in Chinese textbooks, which isalso really no lack of insight. Since Chinese began to be an independent subject, the exercisesystem, as an important element of primary school Chinese textbooks, also went through anumber of innovations, from none to available, from simple to complex, from shallow to deep. Inthe early Republican period, the educators had already done a lot of great efforts on localizationof the textbooks and provided many valuable lessons for subsequent written materials. Currently,while people focus on current Chinese education and Chinese textbooks, also study on theRepublican textbooks. But currently the studies available on exercise system of RepublicanChinese textbooks are not in-depth. In order to make up the shortcomings of current research,this study attempts to learn from Mandarin of New Life Textbooks, the representative ofRepublican Chinese textbooks and conduct research and analysis, to explore valuable experienceof textbooks written exercises and then to provide reference to designer of primary Chinesetextbooks.This research uses literature and text analysis methods. Through retrieving relevanttextbooks, Chinese courses and teaching research, textbook study of the Republic of China booksand papers, the study need to be screened on Chinese textbooks constitute research, relevantresearch literature Chinese textbook Republican period, Chinese textbook exercises systematicstudy to obtain relevant theoretical basis. This study regards the exercise in Mandarin of NewLife Textbooks as the analysis research and aims to study the design and content of the formlayout and then summarize its design features.The thesis is divided into five parts:Part one is the overview of Mandarin of New Life Textbooks, which describes thepreparation and publication of textbooks background and summarizes the overall version of thesets of textbooks and introduces several sets of the same period, the most representative nationalChinese textbooks.Part two is the overview of exercise in Mandarin of New Life Textbooks, which describesthe preparation of textbook exercises and choreography and gets that the textbook is mainlycomposed of the set texts and exercises constitute the final set of textbook exercises designed toexplore the background.Part three is the exercise presentation in Mandarin of New Life Textbooks, to analyze andstudy from two aspects of exercise questions and exercises. Part four is the exercise design features in Mandarin of New Life Textbooks, through theanalysis of textbook exercises design to summarize the exercise design features.Part five is design inspiration of exercise design in Mandarin of New Life Textbooks on thecurrent exercise of primary school Chinese textbook. It combines the existing primary Chinesecurriculum standards, and poses the rationalization proposals for the current design exerciseprimary Chinese textbooks.Exercise system is an integral part of the Chinese textbook, which embodies the values andphilosophy of textbook. The foundation role of the primary Chinese textbook requires thesupport of exercise system. So this topic should cause concern and attention of researchers.
