The Revival Mandarin Textbook(spring entering primary school)applied by The New Curriculum Standards was edited by Chen Bocui,Shen Binglian,Lv Jinlu,Zhuang Yu.etc,and published in the year of 1934 by the Shanghai Commercial Press.A larger number of children’s literature were selected by this set of textbooks.This thesis adopts literature reading,content analysis and case study to summarize the characteristics of the selected children’s literatures and to explore their enlightenment to the current primary school Chinese textbooks’ compilation.The thesis is divided into five chapters.Chapter 1 is introduction which introduce the background and significance of the research,the concept of The Revival Mandarin Textbook(spring entering primary school)and the concept of children’s literature are defined,and the domestic and foreign literature research related to this research are summarized.At the same time,the methods used in this thesis,namely,literature reading.content analysis and case study are presented.The chapter 2 is the summarize of The Revival Mandarin Textbook(spring entering primary school).Firstly,the authors,namely Chen Bocui,Shen Binglian,Lv Jinlu,Zhuang Yu are introduced.Secondly,the gist of the Primary school curriculum standard mandarin published in the year of 1932 is detailed introduced.Finally,the writing style of this set of textbooks are introduced.Chapter 3 summarizes the characteristics of the selected literature of this set of textbooks from the perspective of children’s literature selected article genre,style,layout,separately.Finding that a wide variety of article genres exists among children’s literature selected from this set of textbooks,mainly refer to children’s stories and the theme are extensive,mainly refer to children’s life and the arrangement is scientific,in line with the law of children’s cognitive development.The inspirations of selected literature of The Revival Mandarin Textbook(spring entering primary school)to the textbooks’ compilation today are explored in chapter 4 : It should from the child’s perspective to select literature,the elected texts should according with the requirements of children’ growth and need to be full of children’s interests and meet it,broaden children’s horizons while sticking to the times.The last chapter is the summary and the outlook of this thesis.The children’s literature are mental food for their healthy growth and the selection from textbooks should insist on children’s standard,from children’ perspective to attract their interests.At the same time,however,we also find the limitation in its writing process of this set of textbooks,such as the similar theme unit arrangement mode which would become a challenge to determine each lesson teaching plan for teachers.
