Webquest model is a kind of inquiry learning model under the guidance of a teacher. Themodel is designed to improve students’ higher-order thinking abilities.It is consistent with theidea of new curriculum reformation and "Basic Information Technology Curriculum Standards(2012Edition)" about the overall goal of basic information technology education—to developand enhance students’ information literacy. There is something wrong with Webquest platform.This study focuses on QQ software platform which teachers and students are familiar with. It issimple and powerful. QQ software platform can make up for the deficiencies in the existingWebquest platform, and make the teaching result better.This study has made literature researches about existing platforms of Webquest at home andabroad,and analysis to the deficiencies of these platforms in terms of interactivity, systemstability, ease of operation, be familiar with users, easy accepted by more users. Combined withthe application status of QQ software in teaching, this study presents to use QQ softwareplatform used in Webquest model.This study uses literature researches, a questionnaire and a experiment to study theWebquest based on QQ software platform in junior information technology curriculum. Themain contents are as follows:1. After literature researches, application situation at home and abroad of the platform forWebquest and the application situation of QQ are analysed. This study systematically expoundedthe theory of Webquest teaching mode and the function of QQ software platform.2. This study proposes the Webquest model based on QQ software platform in juniorinformation technology curriculum and makes full use of the function of QQ software platform.3. This study use research methods of experiments and questionnaire surveies, and put thenew model into practice. This study adopts one-group pretest-posttest and a homemadequestionnaire to collect the students’ situation of enthusiasm for learning and information literacy to make sure whether the teaching result is better.4. After analysing the experimental results, this research is summarized.The results show that teaching with the Webquest model based on QQ software platformcan improve students’ enthusiasm for learning, especially in the learning attitude and learninginterest. Information literacy is also improved, especially in processing information, usinginformation processing tools, designing, solving problems in real life and sharing informationwith others. The ability to get information and summary information is improved to some degree,too.Overall, the study shows that the Webquest model based on QQ software platform helpsimprove students’ enthusiasm for learning and information literacy, and can make the teachingeffectiveness of junior information technology curriculum better.
