This moment is an era which the science and technology rapidly development, the network readily accessible and the knowledge updating anomalies conveniently. The new era requires students to have a new way of learning that students can master the basic knowledge and skills quickly and effectively, acquire and process the information effectively, and have the ability of autonomous learning and life-long learning. In addition, the Basic Education Reform Plan which the state promulgated also stressed the need to update the education ideas, change the way students learning and promote student learning and innovation. The information technology courses as a strongly applied and developmental subject, its teaching should follow the times. In recent years, the teaching model of guided learning plan began to rise. The pattern takes the guiding plan as a main way, takes self-learning as the core, and advocates the students have an autonomous learning and cooperative learning. For the case after learning, the teacher summarize and answer the students’questions, students can also be self-summary and evaluation. The emergence of new teaching model provides a new way of thinking for the information technology teaching in junior middle school curriculum.The WebQuest, as an inquiry of learning method, is suitable for the teaching of information technology in junior middle school curriculum. The paper first combs the definition of WebQuest, composition and principles of design, and reviews the concept of the learning plan, composition, preparation principles and the process of implementation. Then combining WebQuest teaching philosophy with the teaching model of guided learning plan, the paper presents the WebQuest learning plan and makes a detailed description of the content and its teaching process. And then taking concrete teaching practice as an example, students who based on learning plan guidance and the network resources have inquiry learning, self-learning and a cooperative learning. Finally, through classroom lecture and interviews with teachers and students, the paper makes a summary and reflection on the practice of this teaching mode.According to the teaching practice, the guiding teaching model of learning plan that based on WebQuest thinking can more effectively guide the students’autonomous learning, improve students’ learning interest, and promote the students master of the basic knowledge and skills, improve the efficiency of classroom teaching and enhance the consciousness of students’ learning for using the information technology to solve the practical problems.
