With the information age approaching,the traditional personnel training goal is goingthrough profound changes.The computer multimedia and network technology provides a newtechnical support for education change. In the basic education field,application idea of the neweducation and the change in learning and teaching methods as well as teaching revolution withexploration spirit and innovation ability have been becoming a new trend and a new fashion.According to the curriculum standards for junior information technology the aim is tocultivate the students' information literacy and improve the innovative ability ofstudents. However in reality, there exits differences among the development of the juniorinformation technology because of the difference in location, which makes it difficult to fulfillthe teaching goal. Therefore, how to introduce a new learning method and how to makeinnovation in teaching has become a new branch in this field.WebQuest is a learning method based on web-based research,which is applied to trainingstudents' information literacy and is appropriate for junior middle school students. This studyattempts to introduce the WebQuest to junior information technology teaching,making thestudents explore independently,which can better achieve the teaching goals.This paper mainly adopts the system design and experimental education method,andanalyzes the problems arising in the junior information teaching.At the same time,through theillustration of the relative theories on WebQuest,this paper also develops the possibility that wecan combine WebQuest with junior information technology curriculum.In theory,this paperinvolves the application process and mode of WebQuest learning method.Meanwhile,relvantteaching design will be made on the bases of the exploration of the webQuestapplication.Besides,an experiment of comparison will be performed between two parallelclasses.This experiment will take the following factors into consideration:the pretest ofstudents' real condition, multimedia work measurement, and the final grade ofexamination.Also,an investigation into students' interest is carried out.Therefore,we candraw the conclusion that the WebQuest learning method can improve students'information literacy and cultivate students'ability of analyzing and solving problems,which can also help todevelop students'ability of teamwork....
