With the rapid development of economic in China since the reform in1978hasmaintained a rapid growth rate, the average annual GDP growth rate of nearly10%. Withsuch a large population and a critical period in the restructuring and development ofdeveloping countries,gaining brilliant achievements undoubtedly attracted worldwideattention, however, the domestic consumer as to stimulate economic growth become animportant bottleneck for China’s economic development. On the other hand, China hasincreasingly facing the problem of population aging, the aging of the population, therestraining effect can not be ignored, not only on changes in population and developmenthas become a basic factor in the left and right of the population development strategy, andthe economic and social development the same elements has a decisive influence.Based on the demographic and economic theory, starting from the study of the agingpopulation and consumption, through the analysis of the status of the aging population andthe prediction of future trends of population aging affects the consumer’s path as well asthe impact on consumer research, and recommendations given response. This study isdivided into the following four sections.In the first part, Using census data of2000, the population age structure of China’s2001-2050analysis of the characteristics of China’s aging population, as well as the changeof the proportion of the population of all ages, and the analysis of the course of China’saging population as well as the causes.In the second part, Analysising of the current situation and consumption structure ofChina’s consumption. China’s total consumption combined with China’s total consumptiondata analysis and focuses on the needs of the elderly consumer market in China as well ascharacteristics, and then study the status of the country’s aging industrial development.In the third part, Analysising the pathes of population aging affects on consumption.Researching the study the impact of population aging from the elderly dependencycoefficient and the labor supply. Makes national pension burden due to the rising proportion of the elderly population has been increasing, and further affect the growth oftotal social spending. The other hand, the arrival of the aging society, our country will facethe problem of labor supply, thereby affecting the total social wealth creation that is theincrease in the total GDP.In the fourth part, Analysising the the impact of population aging on the system ofconsumption and the consumption structure,Basic on AK Theory of Consumption FunctionUsing econometric analysis of the relationship between population age structure andconsumption as well as the effect on consumption.Finally, on the basis of quantitative and qualitative analysis of elderly humanresource development to create the bonus of the elderly population, and promote regionallabor optimal allocation of resources, adjusting birth policy, slowing the aging pressure,improving the population quality, and enhancing the economic development potential,strengthen low-income disabled elderly care and increased the elderly welfare spendingcorresponding policies to promote sustainable economic development.
