The third grade in primary school is the initial stage of composition teaching. Students’frightening about writing makes it the biggest problem for both the students’learning and teachers’teaching of composition. So the new idea of composition teaching is to make the students happy. Until recent years, the enjoyable composition teaching just has gotten the concern from the Chinese academic community of primary school in our country. Meanwhile, some experts and teachers gradually begin to explore and research in this field. However, there is not much research on the third grade of primary school in this particular period. In present, the research on the systematic design of enjoyable composition teaching is insufficient, which has become an urgent problem to be solved. Therefore, the author carried out the research around this issue.The main contents of this research are as follows. Firstly, the research begins with the background, significance, research review at home and abroad, research methods and process of the subject. Secondly, the foundation of developing the enjoyable composition teaching in the third grade of primary school are discussed, which including the definition on related concepts mentioned in this research; the statement on the fundamental theories of enjoyable composition teaching in primary school; the narration on the importance and necessity of the enjoyable composition teaching of the third grade in primary school and the description on the enjoyable composition meeting the psychological and cognitive characteristics of the third grade students in primary school. Thirdly, the research analyses the teaching design of the enjoyable composition of the third grade in primary school according to Dick Kerry’s instructional design model, which including six links:the analysis of the starting point of teaching, the establishment of teaching objectives, the formulation of teaching strategies, the choice of teaching contents, the formulation of teaching plans and the establishment of the teaching evaluation. Then the research implements the enjoyable composition teaching at the stage of the third grade in primary school based on the teaching design of the previous part. The implementation stages include morning reading, afternoon exercise and composition class, in which the composition class is the main body of the enjoyable composition teaching. The final part is the effect analysis of the enjoyable composition teaching which has implemented, mainly carrying on the analyzing from three aspects:the students’ writing interests, writing habits and writing ability of the students in their exercises.In this study, the author investigates and gets to know the current situation of the third grade composition teaching in primary school, and explores the teaching design and the implementation of the model of the enjoyable composition teaching of the third grade in primary school after studying the research achievements of the relevant theories. Through the research, the author expects to give some enlightenment and reference to teachers who are trying or will try to develop the enjoyable composition teaching.
