Since the21st century, the competition of comprehensive national strength has been reflected on not only the competition of science and technology, compete on the technology, but also the competition of talents. The competition of talents in the final analysis reflect on the competition of national education, education is increasingly becoming the areas that the state and society has concerned. At present, China is in a critical period of reform and opening up, all aspects of society are doing a rapid change. Our country’s basic education reform is also flourishing, in order to be our stand in the increasingly fierce competition tide does not fall for keeping up with the times and forging ahead. In the traditional exam-oriented education model, traditional classroom teaching mode is a kind of mode that based on imparting teaching and the student mastering knowledge, with the goal of teaching high scores. This is an mode of mechanization development. With the continuous development of knowledge economy, education reform is imminent. Therefore, the purpose of this new curriculum reform is to achieve all-round development of students, student-centered, encourage independent learning and to stimulate the enthusiasm of students. Of course, in this context, it also put forward a new demands and challenges. As a participant in the curriculum reform, teachers should continue to accumulate and reflect on the usual teaching work flexibility and adaptability, and thus meet the requirements of the new curriculum reform, to achieve goals of the new curriculum reform.Under the new curriculum reform situation the ideological and political education classes in high school should play a more prominent role. It is not only a highly responsible for students to cultivate socialist consciousness and socialist modernization noble qualities, but also bears the burden to develop students self-learning ability and spread advanced scientific knowledge. This article is an furthur exploration on the basis of practice in the teaching, together with the new curriculum reform as the guiding ideology of the Reform, combining classic teaching cases at home and abroad with excellent research achievements, seeking innovation in the macro and micro field of teaching. Our purpose is to implementate targeted classroom teaching in senior politics, so as to achieve the fundamental goal of optimizing the teaching program and effective teaching. Specifically, this paper is based on the author’s personal teaching practice, studying programs and measures for some contemporary refinement of new curriculum reform. On the background of the new curriculum reform, along with the in-depth thinking of the political implications and characteristic of the effectiveness in high school politics teaching, and then sort and interpret the necessity and contingency of effectiveness in politic teaching. There are4main approaches to improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching in the new curriculum reform:(1) change the concept of teaching and changing teachers’knowledge structures;(2)" abandoning " the traditional teaching, conducting effective educational research;(3) to carry out effective construction of classroom management system;(4) adhere to the Eight Principles, giving effective moral education.
