With the highly speed development, China’s hotel industry is huge demand for human resources. On the one hand, data of Chinese education system shows adequate supply of hotels graduates. On the other hand, actually, the employment situation of hotel industry has been in deadly short supply status. It is found that the main cause of this phenomenon is the high hotel staff liquidity, low rate of employment and so on. There have been several research on hotel employees, but research for the hotel interns, the powerful reserve of the hotel talent development plan is very little. Taking them as the research object, this paper explores the employment intention of interns based on professional values, and meant to explore the effective ways to solve the problem of hotel staff shortage. The purpose of this study mainly is to help the hotel enterprises to understand the intern’s professional psychological demands, so as to take scientific and reasonable human resource management measures, then meet the interns professional psychological need as much as possible to improve the condition of high rate of brain drain in hotel industry.The paper was based on Management, Psychology and Statistics, summarized and organized theoretical literatures of the work values and the influencing factors of work values. By using the method of interviews to obtain the influencing factors of work values, made the questionnaires and obtained survey data after measurement, analyzed data by SPSS and made conclusions. Recommend the hotel industry HR departments and education institutions effective proposals and provided references. This paper reviewed domestic and foreign scholars research literatures of work values and its influencing factors, analysis of their main research features, and studied further areas of the researching, made it be the main starting point of this study. The "Hotel interns work values and its influencing factors" questionnaire was made in the paper, and provided valuable references and reliable survey data. From above two aspects, the paper has academic innovation and research significance.Conclusions:1. The order of ratings of every dimension given by the interns was: Social Interaction, Dignity, Security and Economy, Personal Growth, Leisure, Health and Traffic, Self-fulfillment, Stability and Free from Anxiety.2. Different education level of the hotel interns have significant differences in their work values; while there was no significant difference in gender, academic performance.3. Family factors,like parents’education level, parents’attitude to education and family economic situation has obvious difference to the work values of interns, but there was no significant difference in the number of children in the family.4. The competent leadership behavior has a significant impact to hotel interns’work values. High specification and high care type leadership style were favorable for the formation of hotel interns work values.5. The formation of hotel interns’work values is associated with personality traits, different personality traits have different influence on the work values. Finally, based on the research conclusion, this paper put forward some suggestions from angles of individuals, schools, families, enterprises, the four values influence factors. It aims to provide the reference for schools, families, enterprise related researchers and so on.
