Study Of Case Social Work Interfering In Charity Assistance To Children With Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral palsy is one of the major and common diseases among handicapped children of China. From the whole, children with cerebral palsy of China are characterizes by accounting for a large number of population and high incidence.Cerebral palsy will not only brings serious economic and psychological burden on the family, but also affects the improvement of national quality. Now,our social security system is not perfect and cerebral palsy has not been included into the scope of critical illness medical insurance system.Family and government are the main supporters for the children with cerebral palsy. Besides, many public services and charity groups hold a series of charitable activities to help them.Most of the public services and charity groups still adopt the traditional "Transfusion" mode to help children with cerebral palsy, which is single in assistance way, emphasizes more on material assistance than psychological assistance and is deficient on professional assistance theory and professional talents. So, it is urgent to establish a scientific and reasonable charity assistance mode for children with cerebral palsy.This thesis, based on the Y charity group of A city and taking the children with cerebral palsy of Y charity group as the research object, shows Y charity group’s assistance mode of children with cerebral palsy by analyzing an individual case and discusses the strength points and deficiencies of this traditional assistance mode from the perspective of case social work. Then, the paper carries out the individual practical work on the children with cerebral palsy with the professional theory, method, mode and technique of case social work and presents the concrete service process in the form of individual work prospectus.In conclusion, compared with the traditional assistance mode of Y charity group, the mode of case social work’s interfering in the assistance of children with cerebral palsy is incomparable in the service concept, service means and service mode. In other words, this mode can provide targeted psychological, mental and other multiple assistances to the children with cerebral palsy under the premise of sufficient material requirements guaranteed by charity groups. It is not only a complementation to the children with cerebral palsy assistance service of charity groups, but a innovation to the mode of charity assistance to the children with cerebral palsy. Furthermore, it is of great significance to improve the professionalism level of charity group’s assistance service and promote the further development of China’s social work major.
