The employment of college graduates is in high employment pressure and structural contradiction existing is the current outstanding problems at present. But influenced by the level of economic development, geographical factors, college graduates’ employment status of different regional provinces showing its own characteristics. Hunan province is located in the inland provinces and the development of higher education is in the middle level, so the employment situation of the graduates is not ideal. Therefore, the pressure of graduates’ employment in the Hunan province will be eased through the analysis and discussion to the employment situation of college graduates in Hunan Province. And it is also significant for college graduates in Hunan province and even in country to change the employment situation.In the research process, using literature method, questionnaire method, case study method to carry out research from the following several aspects:firstly defines the related concepts, and analyzes the influencing factors of college graduates employment from two aspects of Human capital theory and Social capital theory. Then from the employment situation of college graduates in2013of Changsha City, using the method of questionnaire investigation and case study method, the author chooses6colleges in Changsha City as the object and does some investigation on them. It can show that employment presents structural imbalance situation and the employment rate of graduates from different education level and different subject is different. Based on the analysis of survey data, it proves that what affect the employment of college graduates not only include the intrinsic reasons and the external reason of themselves, but also the other objective reasons such as the level of economic development, the development of higher education, employers and the government, etc.In the light of specific conditions of employment of college graduates in Hunan province, Conform to the current employment mechanism, which is market oriented employment mechanism, government regulation, school recommendation, the school and the employer two-way job choice, put forward the following countermeasures:Aim at market demand, strengthen personnel training quality construction; adjusting behavior of employers and carrying out the principle of fairness; changing the concept of college graduates employment and cultivating the technical ability; strengthening the guidance of policy and improving the regulation of policy; perfecting the law system and improving the service system of college graduates’ employment.
