Dramatic literature is going hand in hand with fiction, poetry, essays and other literary works, it not only plays an important role in literature history, but also plays a pivotal role in people’s lives since time immemorial. In mainland China, although dramatic literature has been chosen into middle school textbooks, it’s contents is far less than fiction, poetry and prose, which is a thoughtful and worth exploring problem. At the same time, limited by the teachers’professional knowledge, Chinese traditional culture and contemporary culture, multiple interpretations on dramatic literature is even fewer. Due to the injection of new vitality into the classroom, bringing of new inspiration to students, training of critical thinking ability, and cultivation of students’ innovation ability by multiple interpretation, it’s especially essential for drama education in middle school Chinese course.Looking at the current situation of drama education in middle school Chinese course, most teachers are teaching drama in the form of novel. Nevertheless, making drama teaching more flexible and achieving multiple interpretations should be done so that the knowledge of dramatic literature can be taught, collaborative communication skills can be improved, aesthetic and emotional values can be cultivated, and this is the ultimate goal of drama education.The research will be carried out in two dimensions:Firstly, Hong Kong, foreign drama teaching combined with drama teaching in mainland China will be taken into full account to conduct a questionnaire. The feasibility studies of multiple interpretations of dramatic literature in mainland China will be showed through data analysis. Secondly, the study will focus on teachers’guidance under the national conditions of china to make students benefits from the drama education. How to break through the traditional drama teaching under the "national college entrance exam baton" and achieve the multiple interpretations of dramatic literature will also be the issue should pay attention to. In addition, the research will analyze Cao Yu’s Thunderstorm to implement multiple interpretations in drama education in middle school Chinese course.Dramatic literature has always been one difficulty in middle school Chinese course, multiple interpretations is even harder and always been ignored. The purpose of this research is to break through difficulties and stimulate more brilliant studies and more relative discusses on similar topics, so that more researchers will pay attention to this issue.
