| In1983, the theory of multiple intelligences was proposed by a famous psychologistcalled Howard Gardiner, who came from America. He divided the human intelligence intoeight kinds--verbal intelligence,musical intelligence,kinesthetic intelligence,logicalintelligence,self-awareness intelligence,spatial intelligence,interpersonal intelligence andnaturalist intelligence.This theory holds that human intelligence is only distributed different,but not in different level. This view has a great influence on educational circles. In view ofour junior middle school education, the theory of multiple intelligences can give a betterguide to the teaching of junior middle school, which is in line with the demands of education.On the other hand,according to the middle school students’ characteristics, the stage of middleschool is the best occasion of the theory of multiple intelligences. Besides, the atmosphere ofjunior middle school provides a good condition for students’ learning the theory of multipleintelligences.The theory of multiple intelligences provides the junior middle school teachers a lot ofenlightenments that are very important and significant in the teaching. It guides the teachersto establish diversified teaching targets, strengthening students’ knowledge and cultivatingtheir emotions. Training students’ diversified learning ways of study can achieve the besteffect of study. The teachers make full use of diversified teaching resources and use all kindsof ways in teaching evaluation. During the process, the teachers should pay more attention–the teaching is in term of meeting the course objectives and seizes the main intelligence in thetextbook. The teachers also should avoid the teaching method of intelligence patchwork andso on. I set some examples to show the guidance significance of the theory of multipleintelligences,based on the culture of some intelligences,mentioned in the paper,in the historyclasses. |
