The development of education should serve the development of economy, The internal demands of economic development to a certain extent determine the educational system of a country. Our traditional planned economy system to market economic system also determines the previous exam-oriented education in our country to implement a change,And the emergence of quality-oriented education is complied with the shift. The quality of our country education reform has been in full swing in the ten several spring and autumn period, The theory of multiple intelligence, as one of the important basis of education reform, has injected vitality for education reform. Proposes Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligence think people there are eight kinds of intelligence, namely, verbal intelligence, mathematical logic intelligence, visual spatial intelligence, body movement, intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, music rhythm smart, intelligent, intelligent nature observer.These smart is independent and interconnected at the same time, everyone have different combinations of smart.. To judge whether a person is smart or not, in essence, is to look at what a person’s smart combination advantage is. When the students clear their own advantages and intelligent combination of advantages, have their own good side, so that it can greatly improve the students’self efficacy, promote the realization of the students’individual development.The application of multiple intelligence theory in the practice teaching of Geography in junior high school has three advantages:1. The students’physiological and psychological characteristics provide the basis for the cultivation of students’ multiple intelligence.2, the geographical characteristics of the discipline for the cultivation of students’multiple intelligence provides a guarantee.3, today’s quality education reform to cultivate students’multiple intelligence provides the condition. According to the junior middle school students learning situation and features of intelligent structure based on the theory of multiple intelligence, I put forward the eight teaching strategies:1, to play the charm of language, cultivate students’verbal intelligence 2, comprehensive discipline, to cultivate students’ mathematical logical intelligence 3, raises student’s body movement intelligence 4, sensory stimulation, to cultivate students’ visual spatial intelligence 5, cooperation and exchange, training students’ interpersonal intelligence 6, music edification, cultivation of students’ musical rhythmic intelligence 7, Reflect on yourself, to cultivate students introspection intelligence8, observation, it is found that cultivating students’ natural observer intelligence.This paper consists of five parts, the first part is the introduction, including the theory of multiple intelligence research background, significance and the present situation, research goal and research content; the second part of the multiple intelligence theory connotation and its application advantages in geography teaching in junior middle school; the third part of the junior high school students to science and learning situation and intelligent structure investigation and analysis; the fourth part based on the theory of multiple intelligence teaching strategies and practice; the fifth part practice reconsidering and the conclusion. The first and the two part is the foundation of this paper. The three or four part is the core of this paper. The fifth part is the conclusion of this paper. Based on the research of theory and practice, this paper puts forward the teaching strategy and practice based on the theory of multiple intelligence.
