The WHO determined that health not only means no psychological illness, but alsomeans good mental health and social adaptability. This shows that mental health and socialadaptation plays a very important role in the development of society. In order to follow thetrend of the times and education reform, in December2000, Ministry of Education proposed"Outline of PE and Health", the physical education of primary and middle school wasrenamed the "sports and health". In July2001, the ministry formulated and proposed“Curriculum Standard of PE(1-6)、PE and health(7-12)”. Physical education curriculumalways changes and often gains new achievements. In the process of discovering newproblems and solving them, according to the development trend of international physicaleducation curriculum and the spirit of the National Program for Medium-and Long-TermEducational Reform and Development, the Ministry of Education consulted various opinionswidely, in order to insist the right direction of the physical education reform. After dozens oftimes revise and improvement, the Ministry of Education proposed new curriculum standardin2011. Primary and high schools’“sports curriculum” which used nearly a hundred yearswas renamed the “sports and health curriculum”.“PE and Health” is an important part of school’s curriculum system. It’s also animportant channel to cultivate well-rounded person. The Standard followed the guidingideology of health first. Students will grasp the basic knowledge、basic skills and methods ofsports and health, then enhance their physical ability; Cultivate sports practice ability and thespirit of innovation; Learn how to study and exercise; Experience the fun and success ofsports, form the consciousness and habits of doing sports exercise; Possess goodpsychological quality, team spirit and interpersonal skills; Form healthy lifestyle andaggressive and optimistic attitude towards life. In order to promote the all-round developmentof students, according to the3D concept of health and the characteristics of PE, thecurriculum objective system of Sports and Health Curriculum consists four parts standards:sports participation, sports skills, physical health, mental health and social adaptation. To helpteachers on the front get a better understand of mental health and social adaptation, Sportsand Health Curriculum combined the original mental health and social adaptation to one.This goal mainly includes: attaching importance to cultivate students’ self-confidence、strongwill、good sportsmanship and team spirit、the consciousness of fair competition, and helpstudents master the methods of regulating mood and working with people. As an importantpart of school education, PE has necessary link with health education. PE can play a role inpromoting middle school students’ personality development, cultivate students to form goodpersonality psychological characteristics and improve their social adaptation ability. It alsocan help students to promote social development, achieve the correct social role positioning.In the process of sports education, according to the characteristics of students’ physicaland mental development, teacher will develop targeted science sports plan, design a relaxedlearning atmosphere, and arrange science reasonable amount and intensity of exerciseconsciously. The pleasant psychological experience brought with sports can help studentsrelieve the pressure, outlet bad feelings, enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence, cultivatestrong will, promote the harmonious and healthy development of middle school students’mental. Therefore sports are the most direct、effective and scientific way for students toregulate mood, relieve stress, cultivate a strong will and promote the ability of adaption. Butin Daming County’s country school, education curriculum goal implementation situation isnot very ideal. Unbalanced education resources, the allocation of teachers, teachers’understanding of curriculum objectives is not enough as well as its position and a generallack of the corresponding health knowledge and skills. For mental health and socialadaptation these two areas, many teachers have the feel of do not know how to start, theyknow the goals, but don’t know the content. These are all affecting the implementation of thenew curriculum standard in different degrees.this paper takes the implementation status of Daming County’s junior high schoolstudents’ mental health and social adaptation physical education curriculum goal as the mainobject of study. Using the methods of documentation investigation, mathematical statistics,case analysis and so on, study the status of implementation、forming reasons、achieving pathof Daming County’s junior high school students’ mental health and social adaptation physicaleducation curriculum goal. The results of the survey show: 1.The results show that there is a distance between the implementation status of DamingCounty’s junior high school students’ mental health and social adaptation physical educationcurriculum goal and the ideal one. Not achieved the expected results of new curriculumstandard in this field. PE has some problems in the fear of hardship、self-centered、setbackendurance and sportsmanship etc.2.The problems in the implementation of junior high school students’ mental health andsocial adaptation physical education curriculum have such reasons: students know little aboutsports, and have weak sports consciousness. Some students are limited by inherent limitationsand affected by the negative impact of adolescent physical and psychological. In teachersrespect, the reasons are mainly teachers are not familiar with the business, lack theconsciousness of refreshing the knowledge. Classroom management is not perfect. There hasthe phenomenon of dedication and sense of responsibility is not strong. The teaching contentis boring. Sports that offered are monotone. Too much emphasis on the individual technicalteaching. Teaching facilities are imperfect. Lack of the necessary equipment. Boringclassroom atmosphere. For all that, students will have a negative emotional response.3.PE teachers should study the new course standard seriously, centered on student’sphysical and mental health development, care for the students, build harmonious relationshipbetween teachers and students, create lively democratic and relaxed classroom atmosphere,make the students to keep a positive mood, stimulate their interest and positivity in sports.These not only can help students enhance the level of health, master sports knowledge andskills, but also promote the development of mental health.4.The sports teaching process is dynamic and open. At the same time, Sports teachingclassroom is in space, students’ physical activity, interaction of interactivity and thecomplexity of the motion skills etc, all these characteristics determine accidents in theteaching process will be very common. These accidents contain many psychological healtheducation factors. In the PE teaching process, teachers must be good at observing variouschanges in classroom and the valuable information, capture the opportunity, seize theopportune moment to infiltrate psychological health education in Physical EducationTeaching.
