| Chemical term is the international uniform terminology, with the subject characteristics,concise, appropriate and strong summarizing. It is the indispensible tool for knowingchemistry. It’s also the most simple and scientific language for the scientists’ communication.Chemical terms play a vital role in the enlightenment learning phase of chemistry of juniormiddle school. So we must master the necessary tool chemical terms, then we can have agood command of the memorizing and understanding of the basic knowledge of chemistry.And we can help develop the students’ abstract thinking ability.This study is divided into five parts: raise of the problem, theoretical basis, investigationand analysis, teaching strategy as well as conclusion and reflection. We aim to investigate thepresent situation of junior middle school students in learning chemistry terms by analyzingthe questionnaires with students and the interview materials with teachers. The key points ofthe study are as follows: how is the junior middle school students’ mastery of chemical terms;is there any difference on the mastery of chemical terms among the students on different level;what causes the difference; what’s the current situation of the junior middle school students’study on chemical terms; is there any difference on the interestã€attitude and method amongthe students of different level when they study chemical terms; which teaching method shouldbe used to improve the efficiency on teaching chemical terms. In the part of raise of theproblem, we determined this thesis by checking and collecting plenty of documentationsrelated to chemical terms including the background, the questions and the ideas. In the theorypart, we define the concept of chemical terms and demonstrate the teaching theory related tothis thesis. The part of investigation and analysis mainly include two aspects: students’mastery level of chemical terms and the current situation of their study of chemical terms, andthe analysis of the investigation results. In the fourth part, teaching strategies, we need toexplore the affecting factors of the learning situation in chemical terms of junior middleschool students combined with the interview with teachers. And modify teaching strategies ofchemical terms by analyzing the existing problem in study of chemical terms found in theinvestigation. The last part is the conclusion and reflection, which we got from the study of junior school students’ current learning situation of chemical terms and rethink on theresearch of this thesis.Through the research of this thesis, we got below conclusions:(1) The level of the junior middle school students’ mastery of chemical terms is low ingeneral.(2) The difference of the mastery level of chemical terms among the high-level students,mid-level students and low-level students is great.(3) It should be improved of the understanding depth and the immigration using abilityof chemical terms.(4) It need to strength the guidance on the leaning method of chemical terms. |
