The Application Research Of Mind Map In The Geography Revision Of Senior Three

Mind map, which is also called mind mapping and brain mapping, is exploited by Tony Buzan, British famous brain development expert. The tree structure of mind map can specify and visualize the thinking process. According to the features of mind map, the author holds the view that applying mind map to the geography teaching in Senior three can help establish a perfect geography knowledge network, train students’ geographical thinking ability, and improve students’accuracy in answering questions and problem solving speed. In the two senior three liberal arts classes, from different angles mind map is verified in the application of the senior three geography revision.This thesis is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction, which depicts the background of the topic, its significance and the research methods. The concepts of mind map and concept mind are given and the connection and differences are analyzed in this part.The second part is literature review, which demonstrates the theoretical basis of the research and the present research situation home and abroad.The third part respectively discusses the feasibility of applying mind map to the senior three geography revision from mind map itself and different angles of teachers and students.The fourth part is the core part of this paper---the application of mind map in senior three geography revision. First of all, it clarifies specific principles of the application of mind map in senior three geography revision, and then elaborates the purpose, time and process of the action research. In the process of the action research, the author demonstrates true teaching cases, obtains first-hand materials in the form of questionnaires and classroom observation, and analyses the effects of the application of mind map in senior three geography revision.The fifth part is of research conclusions and Suggestions according to the practical application.
