The Chinese assignment are the right organic extension of the classroom teaching of theteachers, accordingly, for students that the process to accomplish the assignment are to absorbthe knowledge, expand and apply on their knowledge. That’s why the classroom teachingmethod and the assignment are to be described as the two legs of a man, only when walkingthrough the two legs, can help one to walk quickly and steadily. However, looking back to theassignment present, lots of problems exist, for instance that students lacks of interest in theChinese assignment and give passive action on them. Or too single in the forms and toomonotonous with the contents insides, the assignment are totally out of the indeedrequirement of the students. Or the assignment are too rigid and not open-minded, missingcommunications; Or the target is not to the point, aiming at the high scores only. If we want tocheck the causes we can find a Lot from different areas: backward sense of the Chineselanguage level, narrow view on the course object, outdated assignment forms, and the impactsfrom the idea of pushing assignment on the “Earliness” and “Quickness”.At present, the research on the Chinese assignment are not perfect, so the Chineseteachers shall be more active onto the researching the revolution on assignment, andimproving the validity of assignment. In order to ensure the assignment scientifical and inpractice, this paper had absorbed and referred the advanced education theory, and put onto thedesign and evaluation with the basic idea from the constructivism theory, multiple-intelligence theory, zone of proximal development, and <the course standards for compulsoryeducation>, combined with the detail practice, herein raised the design principle forassignment, detail methods, and had put into the real practice of the assignment evaluation.The design principle of assignment is to improve the activity from students, and focusingon the constructive effects and researching cooperation between the teacher and students,shall reveal the levels,differences and selectiveness. Here are some revolutions on the theassignment design principle: the first, to expand the readings, it mainly describes that to keepan enough reading time for students, this need the cooperation from both the teacher andstudents’ parents, then to combine the reading activity during and after the course, and thecombination on reading and writhing to guide students to read. The second, to arrange thelogical and various kinds on the writing type assignment, the materials shall not be accumulated from Chinese books, but from the real life as well, to modified times to improvethe writing ability. The third, to design the comprehensive study assignment courageously,begins from the teaching books and courses separately, to work out the active solutions forthe comprehensive-study type assignment. Besides, that the teachers to check and correct theassignment need more focused on effectiveness, they shall keep the encouraging as the mainmethod, match with combination of the self-evaluation and mutual evaluation to students,then can form the essential insurance for the students active assignment fulfillment.The new round course evolution if proceeding massively and vigorously, comparingback to the Chinese assignment, it does not gain the corresponding development and attention.Surveying onto the status of the present Middle school Chinese assignment, it is the real timenow that shall innovate the antiquated concepts, find out the new ways, new methods, it isworthing the deep rethinking and researching.
