ObjectiveThe study was aimed to construct the competency evaluation index system of teachers in clinical practice of nursing undergraduates and to provide references for training, selection, assessment and appointment of clinical nursing techers.MethodsThrough using open questionnaire to investigate nursing graduate interns, using O*NET working analysis system to empirically study300clinical nursing teachers and semi instucture interview of20department general teachers to collect the relevant intems of comp-etency, preliminarily draft the framework of this index system. Then, using Dephi expert consultation method(Dephi) to investigate15selected experts for two surveys, determining the entry, content of competency evaluation system and using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) to determin the weights of indxes.Results1、The competency evaluation index system of teachers in clinical practice of nursing under graduates included6first level indexes,36second level indexes and40third level indexes. The first level indexes in descending order of weight were:occupation and cognitive characteristics(0.2551), teaching characteristic(0.2551), interpersonal and developmental characteristics(0.1732), care and service characteristics(0.1212), achievement and influence characteristics(0.1212), self-concept characteristic. The top ten second level indexes in descending order weight were:teaching mode(0.0816), professional knowledge(0.0651), technical level(0.0651), interactive teaching(0.0618), experience(0.0593), clinical combina-tion(0.0476), awareness of the law(0.0442), interpersonal relations(0.0421), learning strategy (0.0396), rationality(0.0336).2、Dephi expert consultation reliable analysis:two rounds of questionaire recovery rate were both100%, which indicated that the experts’ high enthusiasm for the study. Experts’ personal coefficient of authority was between0.7000~0.9750, and experts’ group coefficient of authority was0.8767, which showed that expert group has good authority. The coefficient of variation was between7.23~14.33, two rounds of experts’ coordination coefficient were0.181and0.198, and P value was less than0.01through chi-square test. The result had statistical significance, indicating that experts have higher degree of coordination.ConclusionThe competency evaluation index system of teachers in clinical practice of nursing undergraduates was constructed by a variery of scientific and reasonable methods, which covered6dimensions,36items and40behavior indicators. This system is more complete and reliable, so as to provide references for training, selection, assessment and appointment of clinical nursing techers, having the certain application value to construct excellent clinical nursing teaching team and enhance the level of clinical nursing teaching.
