Objective:This study aims to construct a scientific clinical nursing teachers’ professional standards framework and a specific indicator system as an effective instrument to measure the quality of clinical nursing teachers and standardize teacher management, and also to provide clinical nursing teachers with clear requirements and graded targets so as to promote their professional development. Besides, it also provides beneficial references for "Nursing Undergraduate Education Evaluation System Research Project" with its focus on clinical nursing teacher quality control and professional certification, which is initiated by the Second Military Medical University and approved by the Ministry of Education.Methods:1、This research explored current researches and latest development of clinical nursing teacher standards at home and abroad through theoretical analysis and literature review, and constructed a preliminary clinical nursing teachers’ professional standards framework and indicator system based on the discussion and analysis of an expert coordinating panel.2、The standards framework and indicator system was established based on two rounds of Delphi consultation of23experts, through establishing indicators, content structure and weights. Meanwhile, the coordination degree, positive coefficient and authority score of expert advice were calculated through mathematical statistics, in order to test its reliability and representativeness.Results:1、Through theoretical analysis, literature review, expert coordination group discussion the clinical nursing teachers’ professional standards framework and indicator system was drafted, including4first-level indicators,11secondary indexes,38three-level index content, which consisted of the questionnaire of the first-round expert consultation.2、Through two rounds of Delphi expert consultation, the clinical nursing teachers’ professional standards framework and indicator system was established, including role qualifications, comprehensive quality, training objectives, professional certification of4first-level indicators,11second-level indicators and36three-level indicators. The weights of the indicator system at all levels were determined by using the optimal sequence diagram method and expert assignment method.3、Delphi expert consultation reliability analysis:the two round questionnaire recovery rate is92%and100%respectively, which suggests that experts have high enthusiasm. Personal authority coefficient of the expert group is above0.70and the expert group authority coefficient value is0.87, which shows that the panel are authoritative. Coefficient of variation is within the range from0.000to0.168, and the expert consultation coordination coefficient is close to0.5(the chi-square test p value is less than0.05), so the result is statistically significant and it indicates the high consistency of expert group opinion on index weight assignment. Conclusion:The clinical nursing teachers’ professional standards framework and indicator system established through theoretical analysis, literature review and Delphi expert consultation method is scientific, reasonable and reliable, which is composed of4first-level indicators,11second-level indicators,36three-level indicators. It provides reference for standardization of clinical nursing teachers management on the one hand; on the other hand, it proposes clear development requirements for clinical nursing teachers and purposeful guidance for step-by-step development;Besides, it also provides beneficial references for "Nursing Undergraduate Education Evaluation System Research Project" with its focus on clinical nursing teacher quality control and professional certification, which is initiated by the Second Military Medical University and approved by the Ministry of Education.Follow-up studies:Although the standards framework and indicator system is established after two rounds of consultation on basis of rigorous scientific guidance, some indicators are relatively abstract and short of scalability. Some indicators’ connotation and the weights should be revised and improved in the follow-up study.
