Since1960s, hidden curriculum has gradually being concerned by educationalresearch. The study of it is very short, but because of the influence in the school life, itsoon attracted the interest of curriculum theorists around the world. In China, with thethree-dimensional purpose on curriculum in recent years, the hidden curriculum isgetting more and more important.Hidden curriculu and explicit curriculum are two types of courses in the schoolcurriculum system. Although they are in different forms, they should both haveeducational function. However, due to various reasons, the educational function of thehidden curriculum can’t be fully used. In this study, based on the structure andfunction theory, I’m trying to build an optimized structure of hidden curriculum inorder to form the educational function. Then I’ll analysis the restraining factors whenreleasing hidden curriculum’s educational function, and finally achieve the influence.The study is divided into four chapters: The first chapter is the introduction of theresearch. This chapter is mainly on the “How is te question raised?”, the significanceof the research, the literature review and research methods on this research; Thesecond chapter is on the structure and function of the hidden curriculum. This chapteris the basis of building an optimized structure of the hidden curriculum and formingthe educational function in following part; The third chapter is the realisticperspective of the hidden curriculum’s educational function. In this chapter, I’lldescribe the progress and problems then analysis the reasons when the hiddencurriculum forming and releasing its educational function; The fourth chapter is onthe forming and releasing of te hidden curriculum’s educational function. In theforming part, I’m trying to optimize the structure of the hidden curriculum based onthe structure and function’s theory. In the releasing part, I’ll analysis the restrainingfactors from a different perspective.Hidden curriculum is a beginning in our country. And based on the theory of thestructure and function to optimize the structure of the hidden curriculum and form itseducational function, is undoubtedly opening a new window to curriculum revolution.Forming and reseasing hidden curriculum’s educational function is a combination ofstatic and dynamic process. Only with building a scientific and reasonable structure ofhidden curriculum and the teachers and students’ hard-working that hidden curriculumcan optimize its educational function.
