With the development of education in China, the study of educational theories has been conducted deeply. Teachers’ professional development, which presents situation of the teachers’ quality, has become a new perspective to the research the construction of the teachers. Due to China’s economic development uncoordinated, The economic is different between urban and rural areas. This gap is also exist in education. How to improve the standard of education in rural areas has become a concerned topic in our society.In May2006, National Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Personnel collaboratively implemented a plan called a plan of special positions for teachers in rural compulsory education, which has been popularized acoss over22provinces as well as well as autonomous regions in China, thus becoming an extremely influential policy in supporting education in rural areas. Meanwhile, Professional development for the special post teacher has also become the focus of all walks of life. Teacher who devoted to this plan, as the main part, play a very important role in the effects.It is extraordinarily necessary to do a reseach on professional development for the special post teacher and give some advice on the basis of the research conclusiongs.In order to know the status of professional development for chemistry special post teacher in Hubei province, we selected32chemistry special post teacher in Hubei province to investigate. The methods of the reserch are questionnaire survey and Interview.The thesis composed of four parts:Part one:this part defines some basic concepts, intoduces the origin of this research, and overviews the literaure,and introduces the aims of the research, the research methods and the key, the difficult point, the innovation of the research.Part two:introduce the current situation of special post teacher in Hubei province. There are some problems in working and daily life, and they need to impove from many aspects like professional knowledge, professional ability, professional sentiment and the understanding of the professional development for teacher.Part three:analysis the causes of the problems of the before reserch from the society, school and teachers’selvies.Part four: Advices on special post plan and professional development for special post teacher.
