The "Post-80s" is the first generation of only child after the implementation of the one-child policy in China. They are taken great care of by their parents, forming some unique personality. At present, the "Post-80s" is a very large group, and an important portion of human resources in our country, which will become the important forces in the economic and social development in the21st century. Nowadays, the "Post-80s" have grown up, and they should have taken responsibility for the society and the family. However, some of them can’t stop "weaning", and still remain dependent on their parents, which result in the emergence of the "NEET". Currently, the problem of "Post-80’s NEET" is not only family issues, but has become social issues, which brings about a series of negative effects, such as, hindering personal growth and development, aggravating family economic burdens, impacting social stability, spreading poor "NEET" culture, and so on. Therefore, the problem of "Post-80’s NEET" should be attached with attention. Otherwise, it will seriously affect the development and the vitality of the whole society.Combining with a number of cases around, the author analyzes and summarizes the current situation and problems of "Post-80’s NEET", through reviewing literature and collecting information related to the subject. On this basis, the thesis embarks from the "the influence of external environment on the individual". From the perspective of "ecological system theory", the author expounds the causes of "Post-80’s NEET", including macro factors and micro factors. The "Post-80s" group is a witness to the reform and opening up, who has experienced social transformation which brings about political, economic, cultural and other changes. Such macro environment changes associated with their "NEET" inextricably. In the meanwhile, the home environment they grow up is quite different from their parents’."A Family of Three" family patterns and overprotective parenting styles increase the possibility of their "NEET", which form the micro factors of the emergence of "Post-80’s NEET". Finally, from the case work, group work, community work, the author discusses how the social work gets involves in "Post-80’s NEET" to help them break through the dilemma, and emphasizes the methods and processes of case work. In case work, the author illustrates a case to elaborate the involvement process of family casework specifically. In team work, mainly by means of interaction between team members to solve everyone’s problem and crisis, the author offers some ideas and solutions for group activities. In community work, the author proposes the establishment of a complete community support network, in order to give full play to the functions of the community. The author expects "Post-80’s NEET" could break through the dilemma and go back to the society with the help of social workers’ helping behavior.
