Chinese kindergarten teachers are basically consisted of females. Most kindergarten female teachers are facing giving birth in a few years, which brings a series of problems of the adaptation of postpartum returning to work. So in the special career development period, it should be taken seriously whether kindergarten female teachers of postpartum are able to meet their job requirements or not. Currently, the researches about postpartum adaptation of kindergarten teachers are mainly lack of systematic investigation. The study of this topic is even rare. Therefore, carrying out this research has practical urgency accordingly.This study uses a combination of qualitative research and quantitative research methods. The study also analyses and explains from the static state and dynamic state of the investigation. The specific methods involve questionnaire investigation, case study and interview.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction, which describes the research origin, research significance, theoretical basis, literature review, and research methods.The second part uses the questionnaire survey combined with interviews, which conducts a survey on86female kindergarten teachers’ adaptation of postpartum returning to work in C city, Hunan province. The survey is investigated from the static angle, through different kindergartens, in which if the female teachers are regular authorized stuff, their different fertility school ages, educational backgrounds, professional backgrounds, reproductive age, how long they leave, and their family support when they are back to work. The paper generally discusses female teachers’dual roles, child care, professional development, interpersonal relationship and kindergarten management. The study does researches on the specific inadaptation performance of postpartum returning to work according to the above five points as well.The third part selects four female kindergarten teachers of postpartum returning to work as case study, which conduct open-depth interviews. The study shows the status of specific adaptation problems from the dynamic angle, using a narrative way to reflect the problems of inadaptation and experience more clearly.The fourth part combines previous description and analysis. This part discusses the improvement strategies for female teachers’ adaptation of postpartum returning to work, from different effect factors such as individual, family support, kindergarten management and society support. Based on the analysis above, the paper puts forward some suggestions, including improving female teachers’ability of self-adjustment, striving for more family support, improving the kindergarten management, and enforcing the Law on the Protection the Rights and Interests of Women effectively.
