Poetry is the language of diamonds. The contemporary poetry theorist Lu Lingxiao has once said," Poetry is the most lasting appeal of a text, which uses graceful rhythm, harmonious language and rich imagination to express human will, desire and emotion."Modern poetry written in vernacular Chinese conforms to modern people’s aesthetic psychology and aesthetic habits. It has a high degree of generality, bright vividness, strong lyricism and musical harmony. It plays an important role in cultivating students’aesthetic cognition and aesthetic temperament. However, through the earlier investigation and analysis of modern poetry teaching, we find that the current situation of modern poetry teaching is not optimistic. So based on the present situation, the impassioned teaching of modern Chinese poetry is discussed in this paper.The introduction and literature review part has showed clearly about the necessity of research object, the research status, main content and research method. Combined with the author’s mastery of the literature, it overemphasizes the study of focus and the problem mainly to be solved.In the first chapter, the author tried to summarize the performance of impassioned characteristic, through analyzing the Chinese modern poetry for primary and high schools. Next, the author has made a survey of12teachers teaching Chinese and more than200students from four high schools. Then, according to the survey data statistics, the features of modern poetry teaching are just following:stylized teaching, students lacking of interest and innovation consciousness, relatively narrow extra-curricular development.The second chapter mainly discusses the connotation of impassioned teaching and the necessity of it. The impassioned teaching is creating a rich taste of class situation, through a single import. Then the students will read to recite under the guide of interest and the flexible innovation practice training. It will make modern poetry teaching live without chaos. We could realize win-win situation of literacy test capabilities with poetry and eventually achieve the goal which is said" harmony of teaching and learning, the unity of emotion and knowledge". Impassioned teaching is not only one of the defining features of the modern poetry, but also the inevitable requirement of Chinese new curriculum reform. At the same time, it is the ontology of modern poetry teaching requirements. In a word, impassioned teaching of modern poetry is so necessary.In the third chapter, the author has put forward the impassioned teaching strategy of modern Chinese poetry. It respectively shows the use of impassioned teaching in guiding part, reading part, exploring part and migrating part. It stimulates students’interest by teacher’s introduction import and moderate multimedia import. The students will collect emotion and beauty themselves, through affective reciting and technical guidance. Then, teachers try to expand interpretation of the poetry, by means of rational analysis and classified teaching. Finally, the knowledge and experience of these poetries will be consolidated, in the dialogue of copy writing and appreciation, singing, story adaptation and scene perfonnance practice. This chapter mainly explores the effective way of impassioned teaching modern Chinese poetry, under the help of excellent teaching examples, combining with author’s analysis and evaluation.Conclusion part is the last reflection and summary of the content above. It emphasizes the importance of teachers’emotional quality and professional quality. Of course, it also points that the class activities should be timely, appropriate and reasonable. And it has indicated the direction of the modern poetry’impassioned teaching. On one hand, the evaluation system of teaching effects should be established. On the other hand, the teaching content should be deepened.
