The Research On How To Develop Students’ Interest In English Learning

As old saying goes:"Interest is the best teacher". In English learning,if the students are not interested in it, they are certain to be tired of English learning. At abroad, teachers put the interest arousing in the most important place,especially making students study in a free atmosphere;but at home,teaching is always separated from learning by our teachers,many of them cannot arouse and cultivate students’ interest,leading to students don’t put their hearts into english learning.In order to achieve satisfactory teaching effects, teachers should cultivate students’ English learning interest, and arouse their learning desire. Therefore, it has become the key of English teaching to arouse students’ learning interest.This thesis takes the situations of the english learning for example,and analyze the reasons of lacking interest in english learning,hoping that we can find good solutions to this problem.This thesis is composed of four major parts:Part one,which is an introduction,fixes the theme of this thesis,and defines its scope and research methods.Besides,i make a survey of the learning situations in rural middle schools,so that it can offer me enough materials.Part two, taking the situations of the english learning in my two classes as an example, in order to get to know the reasons why the students in rural middle schools lose interest in leaning english,with the method of questionnaires survey and interviews.Part three, analyzing the various factors of affecting students’ interest in learning english. Students’ psychological factors, schools’ environment, the teachers’teaching methods,families’ environment and so on are the important factors of affecting students’ english learning.Part four, offering a lot of suggestions on how to arousing students’ interest in learning english,such as, to stimulate students’ learning motivation, to improving teachers’ teaching methods, to build the harmonious relationship between students and teachers,to form a good cooperation between parents and parents.
