The charm of films is that it can bring audience visual pleasure. Nowadays, reading is under the big shock of films. Improving students' ability of reading is one of the most important tasks of Chinese teaching. It is an urgent issue how to deal with the relationship between reading and film appreciation.The first part elaborates the background, research status, and the purpose, significance, research methods in detail.The second part tells the research significance incorporating media resources in Chinese teaching in primary school. On one hand, media resources are the basis of Chinese reading, which is illustrated from the standard of Chinese curricular and the effect of films. On the other hand, media resources are beneficial to Chinese reading by students' survey.The third part is the most important. Firstly, the function of films stimulating interests is illustrated; secondly, films promote reading by analyzing the characteristics of the language of films. Lastly, it is analyzed that the impact of masterpieces adaptions on the students.Section four raises a teaching project and practice, which illustrates a method of combing media resources and Chinese reading in primary school.After a long period of research on the application of media resources on the teaching of reading for primary school students, this thesis hold that the application of media resources on the reading teaching for primary school students will promote students to read. I think, to some extent, the use of the media resources will help to improve students' reading ability.
