The combination of reading and writing is an influential teaching method inChinese teaching and it is a scientific teaching concept. The so-called combination ofreading and writing is to make use of the teaching material language carrier, from thecontent of selection itself, to design the writing content closely associated with thetext, which can achieve the goal of mutual promoting between reading and writing.However,in the rural Chinese teaching, some misunderstanding and defect still existsin the combination of reading and writing that cannot make full use of the promotingeffect between the teaching material resources and writing.Through analyzing the combination of reading and writing nutriment containedin the Chinese edition junior middle school Chinese teaching material, basing on thepresent teaching situation of the combination of reading and writing in rural middleschool, learning from the domestic and foreign research results, this papersummarizes several kind of practical forms of reading and writing training by utilizingChinese teaching material resources, with the expect to be helpful to the teaching ofthe combination of reading and writing in rural middle school. The paper isdivided into three parts and the structure is as follows:The introduction consists of the origin of the problem, research significance andmethods, and the literature review.The first chapter discusses that Chinese teaching material is the importantresource for carrying out reading and writing training. The Chinese edition juniormiddle school teaching material collects lots of various and content-rich selectionswhich can supply nutriment for the combination of reading and writing. In addition,this teaching material compiles specialized writing system and introduces concretewriting methods guidance, which can provides the student with approaches forreading and writing training and promoting writing level steadily.The second chapter states the present situation and reference of utilizing Chineseteaching material to conduct reading and writing training. Teachers in our school havecome to realize the mutual relation and mutual effect between reading and writing, but some misunderstanding and defect still exists despite related attempt of thecombination of reading and writing in teaching. Experts and Scholars at home andabroad have done some relevant practice researches that bring us experience andinspiration for the combination of reading and writing in teaching. We should base onthe reality of our school, learn from the domestic and foreign research experience andput forward appropriate and feasible methods and strategies.The third chapter presents concrete and feasible methods and strategies forutilizing Chinese teaching material to conduct reading and writing training, thatpaying attention to the accumulation of good words and sentences and enhancing fourkinds of training method including imitation, abbreviation, widening and adaptationduring which students’ language sense can be cultivated and students’ association andimagination ability can be enriched. Meanwhile, attach more importance toarouse student’s enthusiasm by incentives, exhibit through multiple ways, andconsolidate the achievements of combination of reading and writing.
