With the development of the society, the rural left-behind children get more and attentionfrom all walks of life in society. However due to their unilateral or bilateral parents workoutside, for a long time, these left-behind children lack family education. Psychologicalproblem is very outstanding, which shows inferior and anxiety tendency, eccentric loner,seriously distorted psychology and rebellious attitude, mood swings, jealousy, hatred andxenophobia. Sports activities can effectively improve the mental health of left-behindchildren.Nowadays many poor rural areas witness labor outflow, the children left in the ruralcompulsory education, make the left-behind children long time not and parents, they appearunsociable unsocial and a series of problems. In the school the teacher of left-behind childreneducation sweaty, at home to the guardians do not respect the left-behind children, emotionalexpression, interpersonal problems. Through the investigation of sports activities onpsychological health of left-behind children ask promote. Through the sports teachers’reasonable arrangement and sports activities, and to encourage the left-behind children withcare, so that they can integrate into the collective, actively participate in sports activities, canpromote the psychological health situation. In order to effectively improve the left-behindchildren mental health problems of social public should pay attention to the mental healthproblems of children. Every school should pay attention to sports activities, and the request inthe aspects of contents, time, frequency, form. All teachers should pay attention to theleft-behind children emotional expression, interpersonal communication, personalitycultivation. Through the physical extracurricular activities for rural county Handan city juniorleft-behind children really grow up happy, healthy life.In order to solve the problems of the left-behind children’s mental health, this articlestudies from the perspective of school sports study. This paper uses the school sports science,education psychology, sports sociology of knowledge. In Da Ming County, Han Dan city,left-behind children in rural junior high school are the research object. This thesis uses theliterature material method, interview method, questionnaire method, on-the-spot investigationmethod, and the research methods such as in-depth investigation to study the status of theleft-behind children in Da Ming county, Han Dan city.The following are the research results:(1) in the time, content, form is required toarrange sports extracurricular activities of left-behind children improve mental healthindicators have improved.(2) physical extracurricular activities have a significant impact onimproving left-behind children emotional expression.(3) physical extracurricular activities forimproving left-behind have a significant function of children’s interpersonal relationship.(4)physical extracurricular activities has certain effect on improving left-behind childrenpersonality.(5) left-behind children mental health needs to be improved.
