| Difficulties in job-hunting for college students have always been a social concern. There are a few documentaries reflecting status quo of job-hunting difficulties, with a couple of them reporting the obstacles females encounter. This documentary attempts to reflect the status quo of gender discrimination against female college students in job-hunting and put forward possible solutions to the current situation.This documentary consists of two parts:a female student’s one day in job-hunting and discussions of gender discrimination from different interviewees.The first part records a female college student’s one day in job-hunting and the difficulties and discrimination she encountered at the job fair, leading to discussions of gender discrimination in the following part.In the second part, this documentary views gender discrimination from various interviewees’perspectives such as plaintiff of China’s first gender discrimination case in job-hunting, law professor, human resources, media editor and teachers responsible for career service in colleges. The discussions unfold logically as:1) proceedings, results and significance of the first case,2) status quo of gender discrimination after first case,3) reduction or elimination of gender discrimination, and4) advice for female students looking for jobs. |
