IT courses in junior high school has its own unique characteristics of subjects, it learnersemotions, attitudes and values of the requirements are relatively high, including the student’sinterest in learning the correct learning objectives, learning ability, independent thinking, theability to communicate and collaborate with people, innovation and the ability to distinguishresources, etc. However, the status of teaching junior IT courses are far below this level.junior IT courses currently facing many problems in the actual teaching, and we look forwardto state there is not a small gap, status lack of new ideas and teaching methods of teachingguide is worrying.With the continuous progress of quality education, continued implementation of thecurriculum reform, the development of information technology disciplines need advancedteaching concepts and teaching methods do support. CTM (case teaching method) as anadaptable teaching methods, in recent years before the introduction of basic education, itadvocates the creation of scenarios with real cases, teachers guide students in on the case toread, analyze, process of discussion can understand the knowledge inherent in the case, wellreflects the teacher-led, the main student teaching mode, so CTM applied research junior ITcurriculum has a strong practical significance. In this paper, both theoretical and practicallevel to start, mainly from the following four parts to the study: The first part from its origins,concepts and features of the CTM introduces the connotation of the CTM, select constructivism andfocused on the humanistic theory to explore the theoretical basis of the CTM. The second partdescribes the hand of junior high school curriculum standards and characteristics ofinformation technology disciplines, on the other hand analyzes the CTM in junior IT coursesapplicability and superiority. The third part of the curriculum implementation CTM concreteexample, from the course record and describe the preparation, design, implementation,evaluation and reflection areas. The fourth part analyzes some deep problems in the CTMapplication process, to solve these problems and made recommendations accordingly.In short, through the practice of CTM applied to junior IT. CTM analyzes theapplicability of IT courses, mistakes in the application process and the implementation of the recommendations, CTM application as a front-line teachers to provide some referencefor the teaching.
