Picture book is a ensemble of chart and text, illustrated with figure based. Figure it has associated with art education. Picture books as a primary stage most familiar and loved reading journals in primary period for children, which set interesting plot, full of educational content, style and diverse painting style, multi-cultural concept as one, providing a wealth of support resources for art education. The author attempts to explore the picture book value of art education for elementary, and the way of picture books into elementary art teaching ideas and practical research, dedicated to explore a range of effective teaching strategies of picture books. Illustrated with specific case studies to prove the feasibility of picture books teaching the art teaching and the unique value of the elementary art teaching.After comb of research significance, research status and research innovative body part are consists of five chapters.Chapter one:to define the concept of picture books by comics, cartoons, illustrations and other differences and relations with the clear picture book resources available for art teaching. Then from the content, plot, graphic relationships, layout and painting style to picture books own characteristics were analyzed and summarized.Chapter two:By analyzing the problems encountered in elementary art teaching leads to the necessity of picture books to integrate into elementary art teaching, and then explore the picture book art teaching in primary schools where the value of:(1) to stimulate students’ interest in learning the art;(2)to enhance students’art appreciation;(3)to improve students’capability of performance art modeling;(4)to enhance students’ natural, life and social concerns.Chapter three:This chapter explore the specific picture book art integrated into primary school teaching strategies, including screen of picture book resources and curriculum models constructed. Discipline and student body from two dimensions to explore their own development resources into a picture book art teaching primary screening principles:(1disciplinary body teaching objectives adaptability.(2)students appreciation, cognize and adaptive evelopment. From own content of picture books, painting style, form angles for different values of teaching elementary school art curriculum mode to construct the three picture books, namely:(1)"inspire+summative picture books course" model(2)" copy+creative" style picture book course " mode (3)"theme+explore+cooperative theme picture books course " mode. It is committed to provide a reference and help for primary school art teaching, to a certain extent, improve the problems of teaching elementary school art.Chapter four:The fourth part is the curriculum model implementation stage, the author proves the feasibility of curriculum model by specific lessons. After practice of three lessons and after-effects analysis derived:Picture Book plays an important role in primary school art teaching, through selective screening and construct some models, it can be applied to elementary art teaching.
