Higher vocational education is not only a significant part of higher education and also an important part of vocational education. Apart from that, it plays a vital role in realizing the modernization of education, forming a learning society, taking a part of the advanced countries of human resource. School-enterprise cooperation is the development direction of higher vocational education. In addition, school-enterprise cooperation ensures the characteristics and quality of vocational education. However, there are numerous problems about school-enterprise cooperation in terms of vocational colleges, enterprises, specific theory and practice.It is a valuable subject that how to promote the deep, comprehensive and sustainable development of the cooperation between the vocational colleges and enterprise.In this paper,Qingdao X school, as a case study, will be analyzed by the practice of school-enterprise cooperation on the basis of the theoretical studies of school-enterprise cooperation, such as the concept and the theoretical basis of school-enterprise cooperation. Beyond that, through the in-depth interviews, the developing history of X school’s school-enterprise cooperation, the main content of cooperation,details of running, the analysis of school-enterprise cooperation mode’s success and the reasons to research impacts of the further development will be understood.And there are comparison and analysis among the other foreign school-enterprise cooperation models, for instance, dual system vocational education in German,and "TAFE" of Australia. These successful models can be learned. This paper tries to offer strategies to promote the development of school-enterprise cooperation by the way of concentrating on the case study’s issues and learning from the successful experience of cooperation between schools and enterprises in the domestic and overseas; to build the school-enterprise cooperation mode of leading by the government, being the main body by school, guiding by industries and participating with enterprises. These are efforts to give impetus to the deep development of higher vocational education university-enterprise cooperation, to promote the positive interaction and sustainable development of vocational colleges and businesses, of the education sector and the industrial sector, of vocational education and economic society.
