Research On Elective Courses Of Photography Teaching In New Media Age

[Abstract] Along with the progress of science and technology and social development, China’s media industry is entering a peak period of growth, today the birth of a new medium, has brought the huge impact on the pattern of the media. Photography, in this new era of the media, with its unique, intuitive, and rapid spread of the features has demonstrated unparalleled development of innovative potential. It’s already become a new era media’s pet, just as the language, text, and sound, a way for navigating the world. Photography brings limitless space for development&thus the concept of photography, ways of reading, photography industry, media art and other aspect has changed and found new development with its influence.The change of Photographic demand sends signals to the current photographic education in colleges and universities, forcing the photography education in Colleges and universities must adjust education to comply with the new era development. However, due to historical and other realistic reasons, there is a considerable gap between east and west area in College art public education, development of education level is very unbalanced. Additional, Guangxi is a national minority area, Guangxi Normal University in this special environment and status, elective course of photography is in a place being neglected. The actual problem such as scattered and not refined teaching contents, less teaching time, class mechanism of not reasonably must cause enough attention.In response to this situation, this paper systematically introduces the media in new age, analyzed developments of photography elective courses in colleges and universities in the era of new media, study teaching reform of the elective course of photography on Guangxi Normal University.The first chapter introduces general situation of photography under the age of new media, and demonstrate the value and background of this topic research; the second chapter reviews the educational overview of college photography elective courses in the new media age, in-depth investigate on Guangxi Normal University photography elective courses, and specific analysis the deficiencies and shortages of the curriculum. The third chapter, explore the reform of teaching through the investigation and study of the problem found on the path, gives suggestions to perfect Guangxi Normal University photography elective course education, and put forward ideas of education for new forms of media, in order to better connect Guangxi Normal University photography selective courses with actual development of new media. Finally, make overall summary of thesis research, analysis of the innovation and insufficiency and prospect follow-up research.The innovation of this thesis is the educational reform penetrates and integrates with the new era media in the hot spots. Rely on new media, go beyond a single discipline of the limitations, bold reform and innovation to develop a group of photographers to adapt to the development of society.Under the background of the new media era, photography courses teaching reform is inevitable.
