With the8th reform of basic education curriculum in2001, the history textbooks in junior middle school predicated on Curriculum Standard for History Class of Compulsory Education, since then, are presented with a refreshing new look. As a result of meeting the physical and psychological needs of the students, textbooks are inclined to be diversified and pictures, as a teaching resource, have increasingly become an integral part of them and been attached more attention by teachers in class.Coupled with established theories and teaching experiences, the author uses the textbook published by PEP (People’s Education Press) to illustrate the application of pictures in history textbooks of junior middle school on the perspective of the effective achievement of the three-dimensional targets. First, questionnaires over the adoption are given to students and teachers in order to find the potential problems through statistical analysis; Second, based on the study about the classification of the textbook pictures in accordance with the three-dimensional targets, the author preliminarily identifies the relations between the targets and the classification, which has a guiding significance in the teaching process; Third, the author provides teaching cases to discuss using pictures to promote the effective achievement and evaluation of the targets; Finally, by reflection on the relations between the introduction of textbook pictures and the targets, the author determines the problems and principles that are worth attentions when using pictures during the teaching process. |
