Illustrations,as an important part of teaching materials,have been attached great importance by textbook editors.As an intuitionistic teaching aid,illustrations in history textbooks are an organic part of history teaching materials in middle schools.They are an important supplement to the text contents of textbooks and are helpful for students to understand historical knowledge from various angles and deepen their understanding of teaching materials.It also fully embodies the new teaching idea.In recent years,under the promotion of the new curriculum reform,the illustrations of various new historical textbooks in the middle school stage have obviously improved compared with the old edition in terms of quality and display effect.This topic is based on the latest history textbook of Grade 7,which was uniformly approved by the Ministry of Education,as an example.This paper explores the application of historical textbook illustrations in history teaching.This paper makes an overall analysis of the illustration of the seventh grade history textbook by using the method of literature research and comparative analysis.On the basis of previous studies,this paper first combs the development of the illustration of history textbook in middle school with the clue of the times,and then classifies the illustration of history textbook according to the form and content of the illustration.And use specific examples to illustrate the role of different types of history textbook illustration.After returning to the textbook,this paper analyzes the characteristics of the illustration of the junior middle school history textbook compiled by the ministry,mainly discusses the progress compared with the previous old edition,and puts forward some problems existing in the illustration of the textbook compiled by the ministry and some suggestions for improvement..Finally,on the concrete application of the illustration of the textbook compiled by the current department,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the optimization of the application of the illustration of the textbook compiled by the ministry,and describes the problems of how to apply the illustration of the textbook in different teaching processes.With a complete teaching case,the theory of inquiry is applied to the concrete teaching practice.Whether the illustration of history teaching material can play a good role in students' learning in the teaching process is not only related to the scientific andreasonable selection of textbook illustration.The correct interpretation and application of illustration by history teachers is also a very important related factor.Therefore,in order to give full play to the maximum role of textbook illustration,it is necessary for textbook editors and the majority of front-line teachers to make joint efforts.
