With the development of the global economy integration, Chinese enterprisesgain more widely space for development, At the same time, they also need to face onmany challenges accompany with increasingly fierce market competitions. At presentthe main differences between Chinese enterprises and World Class enterprises aremanagement and manufacturing methods instead of equipments or others. Leanproduction is the best way and necessary choice to solve the problems and maintaincontinuous improvement. Lean production is also the necessary choice to improveenterprise competitiveness.Tangshan Tongli Gear Co., Ltd is an Sino-American joint venture. The companynot only specializes in research, development, design of automotive transmission andrelated technology but also manufactures, sells automotive transmission assembly andparts. In Tongli company, they use lean production driving every aspect of theirculture and performance through a never-ending cycle of change and improvement.Firstly, it introduces the research background, significance, and the currentresearch condition home and aboard; summarizes the origin and development of leanproduction theory; explains the characteristics of lean production comparing withmass production in the paper. Also mentions the purpose and the system of leanproduction.Secondly, it analyses the internal and external environment for Tongli company toimplement lean production; evaluates the current operation situation of the company;points out the necessity and feasibility of implementing lean production; specifies thedesign of the implementation scheme in the paper.Thirdly, it introduces the whole implementation process of lean production;describes the detailed procedures, method and the results of every improvementproject; summarizes the total performance and at the same time puts forward the ideaof further improvement in the paper.Finally, the conclusion is drawn that the enterprise will achieve continuousgrowth through the implementation of lean production.
