Research On The Industrial Competitiveness Promotion Of Guizhou’s Resource-based Areas From The Perspective Of Low-carbon Economy

In recent years, the environmental pollution and carbon emissions cause theglobal changeable climate, which has been confirmed to be the serious consequencesfor the destruction of the natural environment, the unhealthy lifestyles of humans andthe use of conventional energy sources. As a result, a series of new concepts,“lowcarbon”,“low carbon economy”,“low-carbon technologies”,“low-carbondevelopment”,“low-carbon lifestyles”,“low-carbon society” and “low-carbon world”,and new policies come into being. Governments in many countries, as well as inChina, have actively taken measures to adapt to the climate changes. The Seventeenthreport of the Party stressed the need to enhance energy resource conservation andecological environmental protection, and enhance capacity for sustainabledevelopment. The goals of the low-carbon economy in countries and areas is toabandon the traditional growth patterns of economic development, apply the newtechnologies and mechanisms, and achieve social sustainable development throughthe low-carbon economy and low-carbon lifestyles.Industry is one of the most important components in the production sector of thenational economy and the industrial economic developments of any country andregion are important. How to realize the sustainable development of industrialeconomy of a country or a region is very worthy of research issues. This article is astarting point for research, based on the perspective of low-carbon economy and abouthow to upgrade industrial production competition in the resources-type areas. First ofall, my paper presents the background, purpose, and significance of the research.Based on a number of surveys and researches, the current achievements of theindustry both at home and abroad, and the perspective of low-carbon economy, thebreakthrough of the this research has been found. This decides how to do the researchand what it should involve. Second, according to the research thought, in the secondchapter, it concludes the related basic theory, from which establishes a right theoryfoundation for the next chapters. Third, my paper sets Guizhou province as anexample. From its typical resource types, we can easily know the shortages of thepromotion of competition of the industry in the resource-type areas and the disadvantages to develop the industry. Fourth, the paper defines the concept of thecompetitiveness in resource-based industrial areas, and according to the complexsystem theory, it has constructed a competitiveness evaluation index system in theresource-based industrial areas, and through the gray correlation analysis method, itsorted the competitiveness indicators of many influential resourced-based industrialareas in line with their importance. On this basis, the scientific selection ofquantitative methods determined the index weight of the resource-based regionalindustrial competitiveness evaluation index system, and determined the quantitativeevaluation method, it was proved to be effective in an empirical case. Fifth, in basedon the result of evaluation, this paper constructs the developing mode ofresource-based industrial areas, and some countermeasures are proposed to improvethe competitiveness contraposing the mode.
