Water is a necessity, rational water use is essential to human lives and health, safe water is a basic requirement for human survival. With the social development and people’s living standards, the situation of increasing scarcity of available fresh water resources can not be ignored. At present, the situation of China’s rural drinking water safety is not optimistic. Therefore, the study about rural domestic water problems has important practical meaning in the context of water conservation and building a harmonious society.In this paper, consumer behavior theory for guidance, on the basis of seriously study about existing research, domestic and foreign scholars to the living water, etc. Using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, the author make a comprehensive analysis of rural domestic current water security issues of Shuyang, from domestic water quality, water supply facilities and water consumption and other aspects.This paper systematically summed up the existing domestic and international research, targeted learning about consumer theories, and made a further study about natural geographic, socio-economic and water and some other related information of Shuyang, to lay a theoretical foundation for the full text.Secondly, from the points of water supply and the user, based on the author visiting personally, from the overall macro-level, it analyzed Shuyang status of rural domestic water firstly, including the local popularity of rural drinking water safety and water penetration, rural water supply facilities and water supply capacity and other aspects, in order to identify the main problems of domestic water. Then, the part made analysis of the correlation among the variables and the Logistic model analysis with SPSS softwareAgain, based on field research data, this paper made an empirical analysis. It created a log-log econometric model, study about the factors affecting water consumption Shuyang rural residents with the EVIEWS, obtained major affected factors in daily water consumption through empirical analysis of rural residents in the county. This study used sampling methods, through home visits, focused on analyzing the effects of those responsible people for family living, family life style, family age structure, water price, frequency and other charges on the water consumption. The results show that season had the greatest impact on water consumption, while family members of different age structure affected the demand for water largely, which is in adolescence (13~18years) and young people in greatest need of Water. From family lifestyle, the higher of laundry frequency and the dependence of washing machine, it is the more of the water consumption, price had a significant impact on water consumption, indicating that the price had an important impact on rural consumer behavior; in addition, the lower frequency of charging for water may reduce water consumption to some extent.Finally, based on the above analysis and research, the author draw on some conclusions about rural drinking water safety, and propose a few relevant policy recommendations effective in improving water quality of life of rural residents and building water-saving society...
