Research On The Problems And Countermeasures To The Conversion Of New Generation Of Migrant Workers Into Industrial Workers

Since the reform and opening up, the migrant workers have been making great construction for development of society and economy in China. They have been constructing and servicing to the city, but they are difficult to integrate into the city really. Those migrant workers of new generation who born in1980s and1990s of20century almost have no farming experience and low will to return home, but they have strong will to integrate into the city. Compared with the previous generation of migrant workers, new generation of migrant workers have higher level on education, career expectations and awareness of rights, but it is still low on their income level, ability to adapt and rights protection. Therefore, the conversion of New Generation of Migrant Workers into industrial workers faces enormous challenges.This research makes a deep analysis to existing problems in the process to conversion of New Generation of Migrant Workers into industrial workers through the methods of literature collection, data analysis and field trips:in survival field, they only have low salary income and need to work long time, so they are difficult to enjoy normal social and family life; in housing field, they mainly live in the simple and small dormitory that employer and company provide, and they can’t live with family members together; in marriage field, single men delay to get married and women wait and find ’Mr. Right’. Flash marriage is a prominent phenomenon; in education field for children, public schools of work place do not accept their children and private schools only have poor quality of education. So, it is a serious problem of children left behind.Based on the above analysis of problems, this research puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions:the conversion of New Generation of Migrant Workers into industrial workers requires the joint efforts of government, enterprises and individuals, improves the level of wage income and housing security of the new generation of migrant workers constantly, resolves the problems of marriage difficulties and unfair children’s education gradually, and improves the level of social security constantly.
