Land ecosystem security is the base and core problem of sustainable use of land resource. With the development of economic, the situation of land ecological security of China is becoming worse and worse because of many human activities. These activities mainly are disafforestation, urban sprawl, bio-variety decreasing, and soil losing, which are all related with the methods of land using. As the core of land ecosystem, the key eco-section plays an important role in land ecosystem security. If key eco-sections can be identified and protected, it can exchange smaller economic costs for the basic security of land ecosystem. Meanwhile, it plays the key role in the economic development process of the state and regions.At present, China’s land ecosystem security studies started soon, scholars focused on the assessment of land ecosystem security, and did a little research on how to identify the key eco-section of land ecosystem. According to different sources, this paper tries to divide the key eco-section into resource key eco-section and position key eco-section from the definition of key section. Using comprehensive index method and factors-valuing method, it can identify the resource key eco-section by construction the index system of identification, In support of Geo-spatial analysis, it establishes the minimum cumulative resistance of resource key eco-section and identifies position key eco-system, which plays the role in enhance and improve the decisive capability (decide the land ecosystem security) of the resource eco-section. To enrich the study of key eco-section from theoretical, perhaps it can provide a reference in the future.The Yangtze River Delta Area is known with following main straits:flat, spider web’s rivers layout, dense population, lack of land resource, compared developed economic strengths, heave burden of environment capacity, serious threat of land ecosystem security. The paper chooses the classic representative, Wuxi as an example and the results are as followed. (1) The resource key eco-section of Wuxi city are forestry and beaches swamp in Binhu region; forestry, water area and beaches swamp in Jiangyin and Yixing city. Among them, Yixing, the proportion of resource key eco-sections to the whole is85.26%, Jiangyin is9.73%, and Binhu region accounts for only5.01%. The resource key eco-section presents three characteristics:relatively smaller area, uneven distribution, a certain degree of damage. Whether from interference area or interference intensity, downtown is the biggest, Jiangyin city takes second place and Yixing city is the minimum.(2)The key area of the inter-source linkage in Wuxi city are23portions, among it, yixing of13portions, downtown of4portions and Jiangyin of6portions; the key area of network controlled are40portions, among it, Yixing of18portions and Jiangyin of22portions; comprehensive position key eco-section are56portions, which are divided into eight classes (al>a2>a3>a4>a5>bl>b2> b3), among it, downtown of6portions, Jiangyin of25portions and Yixing of25portions. Wuxi city has no al class, a2class of4, a3class of7, a4class of1, a5class of1, b1class of11, b2class of31, b3class of1.Based on analyzing current state and issues of the resource key eco-section and the position key eco-section, proposals have been put forward on the resource and position key eco-sections in Wuxi city from the perspective of the land ecosystem of its own security. Among them, protection measures of the resource key eco-section are partition protection, contiguous protection and pollution control; protection measures of the position key eco-section are building control and stress control.
