The nomadic population in Xinjiang from the fifties of last century，has been60years for now.Large-scale nomads habitat project began in the late nineties, and the regional government in theformulation of the12th Five-Year Plan "clearly pointed out, In "Twelve Five" period, we must complete thenomadic population of the autonomous region, for achieving sedentary life of nomads. The land is thecarrier of the nomadic population, the intensive use of land of nomadic settlements largely determines thesuccess of the nomadic population. Therefore, in the implementation of the project preparation andimplementation of nomads to settle, we must pay attention to the intensive use of land extent of thenomadic settlements, under the premise in line with the actual situation, maximize the land intensive degreesettlements, in order to achieve hhe nomadic settlements goal of the project, live under that stability ismaintained, can increase.The purpose of this study: By empirical analysising s of status quo on nomadic settlements ofJimusaer County, by using AHP, get Jimsar County nomads overall settlement and the settlement of landintensive utilization, and proposed to increase the autonomous region of nomadic settlements land intensiveuse of the suggestions and countermeasures.The main research methods is to obtain first-hand information by using field survey method, establishhe index system of the overall and the settlements nomads settlements intensive use of land by using AHP,obtain the comprehensive evaluation value using of the multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method.This research covers statement on the research background and significance, comprehensivedescription on land utilization status in cities both nationwide and worldwide and relevant theory onsummarizing intensive land usage. based on the current land utilization status analysis to Jimsar County ofXinjiang Province, establish he index system of the overall and the settlements nomads settlementsintensive use of land by using AHP, obtain the comprehensive evaluation value using of the multi-factorcomprehensive evaluation method.Study conclusions of this will: After the evaluation of the overall evaluation and the settlements, wecan come nomadic settlements of Jimusaer County land belongs to the moderate use. In Jimsar Countyunder the jurisdiction of seven nomadic settlements, one low degree of nomadic settlements land use types,four nomadic settlements belong to the moderate use types, Two nomadic settlements belong to the type ofintensive use. Finally, made a analyzed on the reasons in land low-degrees use advantage of the JimsarCounty settlements, and proposed to increase the autonomous region of nomadic settlements land intensiveuse of the suggestions and countermeasures.
