As the shortage of per capita land resources and the lower benefits in China, city land resources utilization is in key levels. How to evaluate the urban land use efficiency accurately, scientifically and objectively, conservation, intensive and efficient use of land resources, sustainable land use, has become an important topic to study. Evaluation of land intensive utilization of city, constantly improve the efficiency of urban land use, conducive to the rational utilization of city land resources optimum allocation and promote the development of city from outward extension to outward expansion and combination of tapping potential into, insist on the sustainable development to strengthen the country.Firstly, This paper reviews the connotation of the intensive use of land, methods and other aspects of the progress, based on defining connotation and the intensive use of agricultural land for land analysis of the significance of the theory of the law of diminishing marginal benefit, provides a theoretical framework for intensive use of agricultural land.Secondly, this paper summarizes the evaluation method to the current mainstream found that agricultural land intensive use of evaluation mainly uses the method of subjective evaluation, most of the analysis is based on the personal opinions of experts, scholars, and industry personnel and on the subjective experience, this evaluation method is often caused by the distortion of the evaluation results because of the evaluators of differences in knowledge and experience of the subject. Therefore, this article combination of the gray relational analysis based on objective data in the gray system theory and analytic hierarchy process for the intensive use of agricultural land, exploring new methods of intensive use of agricultural land.Finally, This paper discusses the problem of the municipal area of agricultural land intensive use, according to the purpose of the research and the unique of the municipal area of agricultural land intensive use, researching the gray relational analysis and analytic hierarchy process theory,analysis of the advantages and feasibility of the gray correlation analysis method combined with the analytic hierarchy process,proposing the evaluation model which is based on gray correlation analysis method and analytic hierarchy process theory.
