Under the background of ensuring global energy crisis, environment crisis, climate crisis, financial crisis and food crisis.farmland has become a scarce resource and the world has entered into a farmland race. While at the same time, due to population growth, land resources relative scarcity, water shortages and other factors, renting land overseas to grow grain, has become one of the major path to ensure China’s food security. But most of the investments didn’t go smoothly.and therefore finding the way out of overseas farmland investment has become a very important problem to be solved.Firstly.The paper introduces the reseach of the time, the core concept and the theory. Then from non-traditional security angle,we find that our overseas farmland investment has very important security implications.Thirdly,we find that because agriculture is a weak, low-profit and high-risk industries, investments in farmland abroad requires huge capital investment, and overseas farmland investment has political, international and long-term characteristics, China’s overseas farmland investment is actually a risky behavior under conditions of uncertainty. So the fundamental reason of china’s overseas farmland investment not proceeding successfully lies in the lack of risk prevention. Therefore we choose Japan and South Korea as the object of study to compare the specific practices and absorb the successful experiences. At last.ultimately basing on the analysis of the content of the first few chapters and relevant experience in Japan and South Korea, we construct the security strategy and the specific mode of operation for our overseas farmland investment.
